LC Packaging has updated its Global Supplier Code of Conduct for all our production partners. The 2019 Global Supplier Code of Conduct prescribes values and principles to which LC Packaging has committed worldwide: non-negotiable standards that we ask our production partners to respect and to adhere when conducting business.
LC Packaging first created its Global Supplier Code of Conduct in 2015 after setting a clear target on Sustainable Sourcing. This target is also part of our Sustainability Vision 2022. Since both LC Packaging and its production partners have developed strongly in recent years when it comes to labour standards and human rights, ethics and environmental efforts, the standard and conditions for cooperation have evolved. And so have the standards set by customers and other stakeholders. We expect all our Partners to sign the updated Global Supplier Code of Conduct and deliver proof of compliance.
About the LC Packaging Global Supplier Code of Conduct
LC Packaging is loyal to its partners and maintains a transparent and open communication process with the goal of mutual growth and development while maintaining our humanity. To achieve this, our values and vision must match those of our partners when it comes to ethics, the environment, labour practices and overall fair business practices. To this end, the LC Packaging Global Supplier Code of Conduct was created. This Code is, among other things, based on and inspired by the Ten Principles of Business and Human Rights of the UN Global Compact* and references internationally accepted principles, such as SA 8000, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001.
By signing the LC Packaging Global Supplier Code of Conduct, partners declare that all existing and future agreements and business relationships with LC Packaging will be subject to the principles contained in the document. Additionally, it is their responsibility to educate their employees accordingly.

* The UN Global Compact principles are derived from the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the International Labour Organization’s Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at work, the Rio Declaration on Environment and Development and the United Nations Convention Against Corruption.
